Salt City Market

The Salt City Market, Syracuse’s first food hall in the heart of downtown opened in January of this year to much fanfare.

There is a cuisine for every taste including Middle Eastern, Burmese, Jamaican, Thai, Vietnamese, Soul Food, pies, cakes and juices. They also serve coffee in the morning in the bar area. At one end they also had a really cute co-op market with a nice variety of higher end staples and convenience foods.

There are ten vendors, all women or minority-owned businesses.  Its a market for new entrepreneurs supporting the local farms / kitchens.  Its a great way to give back to the community  Scandinavian style decor with bright lightning and and open-air seating.
